M for Montreal was created to "support Montreal's finest talent".
In this year's edition, about 20 bands performed from November 20th to 22nd in 4 venues: the Cabaret, Studio Just for Laughs, the Foufounes Électriques and at the Metroplis.

Coheed and Cambria will be on tour in the US with none other than Slipknot at the beginning of 2009. The tour will start on January 23rd and end on March 11th.
